Objective and Goals
The following list of goals and objectives expands
upon the items mentioned in the Lake George/Adirondack Regional
Convention and Visitors Bureau’s (LGARCVB) Mission Statement.
Objective

Increase visitation to the Lake George/Adirondack Region
from all market segments including leisure travel, associations, SMERF
(social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal organizations),
tour and travel, and corporate markets. This goal includes increasing the number of visitors, frequency
of visits, length of stay, and visitor expenditures. |
Primary Goals

Promote the Lake George/Adirondack Region as a premier
destination for groups, meetings and conventions of all types. |

Create public
awareness of the Lake George/Adirondack Region through a focused
public relations effort. |

Compliment
existing in-house sales efforts of regional tourism businesses by
creating cooperative promotional opportunities and developing
qualified leads. |

Avoid
duplicating the efforts of existing regional tourism promotion
agencies. |

Provide
one-stop shopping for potential visitors to find information about
our region and book their vacation. |
 |
Research visitor demographic profile and available tourism assets to assist
with the marketing and sales efforts of the LGARCVB. Make data
available to regional tourism businesses and other promotional
agencies. |
Collect regional tourism impact data to measure the
impact of the LGARCVB and other promotional agencies on the economic
climate of Warren County.
